Infused & Macerated Oils

An Infused Oil, also called Macerated Oil, consists of a base carrier oil that has been permeated ('infused' or 'macerated') with the therapeutic properties of a certain plant or herb. This process is done primarily for some plant species for which it is impossible to commercially find an essential oil and in such cases, infusing the herb into a carrier oil is the best possible way to still use the herb for aromatherapy purposes.
